AutoMACS
Miltenyi's magnetic cell separation utilizes highly specific magnetic labeling of cell surface antigens or secreted molecules and subsequent isolation of magnetically labeled cells. After magnetic labeling, cells are passed through a separation column which is placed in a strong permanent magnet. The magnetically labeled cells are retained on the separation column and separated from the unlabeled cells which pass through. The retained fraction can be eluted by removing the magnetic field, both fractions are completely recovered.

dPC Fractionator
The dPC Fractionator improves sample preparation prior to mass spectrometry analysis. Proteins or peptide samples are separated using analysis kits containing ProteomeChips of specified pH range. The separation enables researches to enrich for populations of proteins or peptides from complex sample preparations such as cellular lysates, serum, plasma or urine. This unique chip-based sample fractionation technology ensures the highest level of protein discovery from precious biological samples.

FACSAria
This is Becton-Dickinson’s most capable and versatile digital signal processing cell sorter. This four-laser, high speed cell sorter uses a unique fiber optic and octagon detector array with user-interchangeable reflective dichroics and optically matched bandpass filters for increased sensitivity and flexibility. It is equipped with 355nm (UV), 405nm (violet), 488nm (blue) and 633nm (red) lasers making 15 color data acquisition and sorting possible for the first time. It is also equipped with an Automated Cell Depostion Unit for single cell cloning and an Aerosol Management System for sorting of biohazardous material.

FACSArray
Becton Dickinson's plate-based bioanalyzer is uniquely designed for the growing field of multiplex analysis of proteins in immunology and cell biology applications. This instrument is equipped with a 532nm (green) and a 635nm (red) laser with 4 color, 6 parameter data acquisition for conventional immunophenotyping and cell cycle analysis in addition to the bead-based assays.

FACSCalibur
The FACSCalibur can measure up to four fluorescent colors, as well as FSC and SSC. It is equipped with a 488 argon laser and a 635 diode laser. The FACSCalibur is engineered with fixed optical, electronic and fluidic components, giving it not only great flexibility but also stability. There are three Becton Dickinson FACSCalibur flow cytometers available for use in the facility.

LSR II
Configured with air-cooled, fixed alignment 488-nm, 633-nm, 405-nm and 355-nm lasers, the LSR II is a bench top flow cytometer with the ability to acquire 14 colors. The Octagon detector array with user-interchangeable reflective dichroics and optically matched bandpass filters produces increased sensitivity and flexibility. The PC-based BD FACSDiva software provides auto-spillover matrixing for automated compensation, off-line compensation, and biexponential data display to better visualize digital data. The LSR II is also equipped with a plate loader option allowing high throughput screening from 96 or 384 well plates.

NanoPro 100
The NanoPro 100 system is a compact, semi-automated platform designed for transfer of immunoassays developed on the NanoPro 1000 system to individual investigators performing routine protein analysis. The system's ability to analyze proteins in size-limited samples allows detection of validated targets in samples too small for other techniques.

NanoPro 1000
The NanoPro 1000 system enables rapid, quantitative analysis of specific proteins in as few as 25 cells per assay. Detailed information is generated on the post-translational modification status of critical signaling proteins. The system is fully automated and speeds samples from a standard 384-well microplate to final results, ensuring exceptional sample-to-sample consistency.
