The Center for Staphylococcal Research has opportunities for medical resident/fellowship research training including those in infectious disease, orthopedic surgery, pathology, and clinical microbiology; the latter of which is accredited by the Committee on Postgraduate Educational Programs (CPEP) of the American Academy of Microbiology. The research training involves, but is not limited to, bacterial pathogenesis, immunology of bacterial infections, bacterial genetics and study of antibiotic resistance.
