Center for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research The Center for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research (CLLR) has been recently established in the Lied Transplant Center, and includes hematologists/oncologists, hematopathologists, and independent investigators. Members of the CLLR are actively involved in basic, translational, and clinical research related to hematological malignancies. The CLLR already has a large computerized clinical database, including pathology and genetic information on lymphoma cases, and a large tissue bank of frozen lymphoma specimens and normal lymphoid tissues, which is an invaluable resource for the work of the Center. Members of the Center are also engaged in international collaborations to study malignant lymphomas from around the world. As such, the Center brings together clinicians and basic researchers to foster translational research.

The Enterovirus Research Laboratory is a group of scientists interested in the biology of a common group of human pathogens called enteroviruses.
- Laboratory for Staphylococcal Research
The Laboratory for Staphylococcal Research (LSR) is comprised of a group of investigators whose research interests involve the molecular genetic analysis of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. This site describes the individual projects led by these investigators as well as related links to regional collaborative efforts and conferences organized by this group.

Mid-America Alliance is a coalition of 10 states in FEMA Regions VII (IA, KS, MO, NE) and VIII (CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, WY), who are developing a framework for providing mutual assistance to each other during a public health crisis that stresses one individual state’s resources but does not initiate a governor declared state emergency. A governor declaration of state emergency is the threshold for implementing the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC). However most public health crises never rise to that level and states that assist one another in such situations do not have the legal and financial protections provided under EMAC.
