We go into medicine because we want to cure illness and prevent disease. We choose Pediatric medicine because we like kids and believe that we can have a bigger impact on health if we start early.
That is my personal statement, and I believe it fully explains why we go into Pediatrics.
The Creighton-Nebraska Universities Health Foundation Joint Pediatric Residency Program is dedicated to providing the training that will prepare you to practice high quality pediatrics at both primary and secondary levels of care or to enter pediatric subspecialty fellowship training with a broad understanding of the field of pediatric medicine.
In our program, you will be exposed to children of all races and socioeconomic groups in a variety of settings: traditional academic health center hospitals and clinics, a new private children's hospital, private pediatric office settings, and inner-city health department clinics that provide care for many ethnic groups.
Scholarly opportunities for developing research projects under the tutelage of our nationally and internationally recognized faculty are encouraged in our program.
If you have any questions after browsing our web page, please contact Cindy Colpitts, our Program Coordinator, or me for further information.
Sincerely,
John Walburn, M.D.
Program Director
