Local
UNMC Center for Continuing Education
The Center for Continuing Education is dedicated to the promotion of life-long learning for healthcare professionals through the transformation of information into knowledge.
Creighton University Continuing Medical Education Division
The mission of the Continuing Medical Education Division is to develop, facilitate and coordinate high-quality continuing medical education for faculty, and other physicians and healthcare professionals. The CME Division will provide educational opportunities so physicians may maintain and enhance the quality of the clinical practice and health sciences/medical scholars may become better teachers or researchers.
Children's Hospital Educational Services
Services include: providing patient education materials for use by referring physicians; outreach education for physicians, nurses, other professionals and community groups; teaching pediatric courses for Nebraska Emergency Medical Transport personnel; and teaching courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, PALS, and NALS.
Regional
Central Group on Educational Affairs
The Central Group on Educational Affairs of the Association of American Medical Colleges is a regional organization of 34 medical schools. The purpose of the CGEA is to encourage and facilitate communication among members and to provide a forum for the discussion of medical education matters.
National
American Academy of Pediatrics Professional Education
The American Academy of Pediatrics is dedicated to the health of all children and committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The AAP offers a variety of courses and continuing medical education opportunities.
Association of American Medical Colleges
The AAMC has as its purpose the improvement of the nation's health through the advancement of medical schools and teaching hospitals. As an association of medical schools, teaching hospitals, and academic societies, the AAMC works with its members to set a national agenda for medical education, biomedical research, and health care, and assists its members by providing services at the national level that facilitate the accomplishment of their missions. In pursuing its purpose, the Association works to strengthen the quality of medical education and training, to enhance the search for biomedical knowledge, to advance research in health sciences, and to integrate education into the provision of effective health care. Today the Association carries out a broad range of programs and studies to represent its constituents.
