Research Interests:  
Our laboratory developed induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) technology, and investigated the region-specific differentiation of iPSCs and their epigenetic memory of tissue origin. We are exploring the possibility of directly reprogramming from somatic cells into neural progenitor cells (NPCs) or subtype specific neural progenitors by ectopic expression of transcription factors, and developing the animal models of neurodegenerative diseases to evaluate their therapeutic effects.
