Keywords:  stem cells; mitochondria; neural progenitor cells; reprogramming

Research Interests: We recently developed mouse induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) technology and investigated the region-specific differentiation of iPSCs to explore the application of iPSCs in neurodegenerative disorders. Moreover, we are exploring the possibility of directly reprogramming from somatic cells into neural progenitor cells (NPCs) by introducing a set of transcription factors, and also exploring the possibility of chemical reprogramming from somatic cells into pluripotent stem cells or neural progenitor cells by studying the proteomics between somatic cells and iPSCs.
