Teaching Activities
Dr. Kelso teaches Introduction to Drug Information (PHPR 562) and Pharmacotherapy IV (PHPR 678).
Research Activities/Interests
Dr. Kelso’s primary research interest is the pathophysiology and treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Dr. Kelso’s lab utilizes in vitro and in vivo models of TBI to study the biochemical mechanisms that are affected by the mechanical trauma. New drug treatment can then be directed at these biochemical mechanisms with the goal of protecting neurons from degeneration and ultimately improving functional outcomes.
