Guidelines for Podia/Oral Presentations

  • The Podia presentation sessions will be held on June 8, 2012 in the MSC 3001 and MSC 1005 of the Michael Sorrell Center on UNMC campus.
  • Each accepted Podia presenter has been assigned an alpha-numeric code or “Pod. No.”, which can be found in the online schedule, abstract list as well as above your abstract in the abstract book to be uploaded on our website soon.
    • All presenters must provide an electronic copy of their powerpoint presentations with their podia number and last name by either method listed here:
      • Through email pgsrm2012@unmc.edu before 10:00PM on Thursday, June 7th
      • On a CD/USB drive during Registration/Check-in on Thursday, June 7th.
  • Each presenter will be given 10 minutes to present his work followed by 2 minutes of Q&A session.
  • All presenters are requested to complete their presentations within the 10-minute time frame.
  • All the accepted Podia presentations will be judged as a part of the Podia/Oral presentation competition.
    • Each session room will be equipped with a projector, laptop computer, laser pointer and screen.
    • Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your presentation time. A moderator will be assigned to each room to facilitate the session.
    • Please see the schedule for your designated presentation time and venue.

Guidelines for Poster Presentations

  • The Poster session will be held on June 8, 2012 in the Ballroom of the Michael Sorrell Center on UNMC campus
  • The poster dimensions should be not more than 36 inch x 48 inch (3 ft x 4ft).
  • The presenter is free to design his/her poster in a portrait or landscape format within the above mentioned dimensions
  • Each poster has been assigned an alpha-numeric code or “Poster No.”, which can be found in the Abstract list as well as above your abstract in the abstract book to be uploaded on our website soon.
  • All posters should be on display on stands marked with the respective Poster numbers before 9:00 AM on June 8, 2012
  • Pins for mounting the posters will be provided.
  • All the accepted Posters will be judged as a part of the Poster presentation competition.
  • The formal Poster session will be held from 3:05PM to 4:40PM on June 8, 2012
  • All posters should be removed immediately after the poster session ends at 4:40 PM.
