Teaching Activities:

Dr. Farho is the course coordinator and primary instructor for Pharmaceutical Care (PHPR 552) during the second semester of the first professional year.  She coordinates the psychiatry section of Pharmacotherapeutics III (PHPR 688) and lectures in the pharmacotherapeutics series and other courses on topics related to geriatric medicine.  Dr. Farho precepts students in the Geriatric Ambulatory Care Clinic Clerkship (PHPR 766).
 
Research Activities/Interests: 
Dr. Farho’s future research will likely center around her clinical practice within the Geriatric Assessment Program.  Areas of interest include dementia/behavioral disorders, unnecessary/inappropriate drug use, and barriers to medication access and compliance within the geriatric population.  Dr. Farho is involved with the Nebraska Geriatric Education Center (NEBGEC), a program designed to provide interdisciplinary education and training in Geriatrics for health care practitioners and faculty preceptors within Nebraska.
