Summer Undergraduate Research Program

In the summer of 2010 there were three students that completed research in the Pharmaceutical sciences department. They did research with Dr. Peter Kador, Dr. Luis Marky and Dr. Sorin Luca.

In the summer of 2011 the Pharmaceutical Sciences department was able to offer one student the opportunity to do research with Dr. Jonathan Vennerstrom.

The Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) is highly competitive.  The program is a research experience, primarily in a laboratory setting. Most students accepted have a GPA of 3.0 or above.

Interested applicants must have completed two to three years of college, with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, or engineering and have at least one year remaining for the completion of their degree. Applicants interested in pursuing career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sciences are encouraged to apply. Candidates should send a letter of interest, a copy of their transcript, a resume and two letters of reference on or before March 31st.
