The echocardiography imaging facility consists of an Accuson 512C echocardiograph and associated probes (3-5 MHz and 15 MHz linear array) and a Visual Sonics Vevo 770 with probes up to 40 MHz and a resolution of 30 um. The Accuson is used primarily to image dog and rabbit hearts and vessels. The Vevo 770 is used for rats and mice. The Vevo system also has an injector rail for echo guided delivery into rodents.
