Postdoctoral position in retinal stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center. A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the lab of Dr. Iqbal Ahmad in Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences for a motivated graduate with interest in stem cell regulation and applications in the context of degenerative retinal diseases. Besides understanding the regulation of retinal progenitors, the lab is identifying and characterizing their alternate sources, such as the iPS cells, for regenerative medicine in retina. We are looking for applicants with a strong background in cell and molecular biology and hands-on expertise in related techniques.
