Is your child unable to sit still? Does he or she have trouble following directions or paying attention? We are currently enrolling children in a 9-week randomized, placebo-controlled study of an investigational medication for the treatment of ADHD in children and adolescents from ages 6 to 17years 9 months. Participants are randomly assigned to one of 3 fixed doses of the investigational medication, OROS methylphenidate (Concerta) or placebo. Subjects who have been previously treated with a stimulant medication are only eligible to receive one of 3 fixed doses of the investigational medication or placebo. An open-label extension study is available for those who complete this trial.
