Dr. Egbert is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He also serves as Medical Director on Inpatient Psychiatry Services. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1984 with a B.A. in chemistry and received his M.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1989. He completed his residency in Psychiatry in 1994 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Dr. Egbert is Board Certified in Psychiatry.  His areas of interest include seasonal affective disorder and electroshock therapy. Dr. Egbert lectures medical students and residents in personality disorders, anxiety disorders and psychiatric syndromes.
