Dennis P. McNeilly, Psy. D.

Dr. Dennis
P. McNeilly, SJ, PsyD., is Associate Professor and Clinical Geropsychologist in
the Department of Psychiatry and Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the
University of Nebraska Medical Center. He also serves as the Director of
Medical Student Education in psychiatry.
Dr.
McNeilly graduated from Creighton University in 1975, and holds master’s degrees
in theology and psychology. He graduated with a doctorate in psychology from
the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL., and completed a
postdoctoral research fellowship in geropsychology at the University of
California Los Angeles, in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr.
McNeilly's research interests include problem gambling in older adults,
victimization of older adults, and the assessment and treatment of depression in
older adults. A nationally recognized speaker and researcher on problem
gambling in older adults, he currently serves as the President of the National
Council on Problem Gambling.
