Prasad Padala, MD is associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He completed his medical training and internship in Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, India. He finished his residency in Psychiatry at the Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center where he served as chief resident in his final year of training. Later Dr.Padala completed his fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry in the same program.
He is board certified in general Psychiatry by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Padala is also certified in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychiatry Administration and Management.
He currently serves in the community psychiatry division and works at the VA Medical Center along with UNMC. His interests include management of the behavioral and psychiatric symptoms of Alzheimer's Dementia, chronic mental illnesses and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
