The UNMC Department of Psychiatry provides a variety of research experiences for medical students and residents. While there is no required research rotation, students and residents are welcome to design experiences that complement their interests and background The motivated student or resident may plan a longitudinal research experience in concert with a faculty member or may choose to work on a briefer project that be accomplished in a shorter period of time, such as a one-moth research elective. Faculty in the department have a variety of reserach interests and colaborate with many other faculty across the campus whilch allow us to design a research expericnce appropriate to the individual student.
