The UNMC Department of Psychiatry provides a variety of research experiences for medical students and residents. While there is no required research rotation, students and residents are welcome to design experiences that complement their interests and background The motivated student or resident may plan a longitudinal research experience in concert with a faculty member or may choose to work on a brief project that be accomplished in a shorter period of time, such as a one-month research elective. Faculty in the department have a variety of research interests and collaborate with many other faculty across the campus which allow us to design a research experience appropriate to the individual student.
