James H. Sorrell, M.D.
Dr. Sorrell is Assistant Professor and Director of the Division of University
Psychiatric Services. He earned his B.S. at the University of Nebraska in
Lincoln. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he received
his M.D. and attended George Washington University and Barnes Hospital,
Washington University for his internship and residency. Dr. Sorrell is Board
Certified.
Dr. Sorrell joined the Department in 1999 after practicing in rural Nebraska.
His main area of interest is consultation services for medical/surgical patients
with a special focus on clinical services and research in psychiatric aspects of
liver disease, HIV/AIDS, oncology and transplantation.
