Brigette Vaughan specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry and developmental/behavioral pediatrics. She treats patients with a broad range of illnesses including behavioral, developmental, mood, and anxiety disorders. She is actively involved in psychopharmacology research in ADHD, Fragile X Syndrome, and telehealth evaluation. She provides an outreach clinic in Columbus, NE for medication management of children and adolescents with developmental, behavioral and emotional problems. She has presented at local and national meetings and is a member of the Nebraska chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She has been a clinical supervisor for nurse practitioner students, and is a full member of the UNMC IRB.
Her interests include psychopharmacology, mental healthcare in underserved areas, multidisciplinary education for behavioral health providers, and protection of human subjects in research. She has been involved in psychopharmacology clinical research studies since 1998.
