Brandon Grimm has worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) since 2006. He started in the Department of Pediatrics as program coordinator for the Nebraska Educational Alliance for Public Health Impact and the Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute. In 2009 these programs moved to the College of Public Health and Mr. Grimm became the Manager for Public Health Practice. Mr. Grimm led the successful application to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to establish a Public Health Training Center at the College of Public Health. Starting in 2012, Mr. Grimm will serve as the Associate Director of the Great Plains Public Health Training Center and the Director of Professional Education and Training for the College of Public Health. In addition, Mr. Grimm is also working on his PhD in the College of Public Health, with an anticipated graduation of May, 2013. Before his time with UNMC, Mr. Grimm worked in cardiac rehabilitation and corporate wellness.
Interests
My areas of interest include adolescent health and wellness, leadership development and measurement of competency based education and training. I also enjoy spreading the message of public health and equality to all who will listen. In addition, I spend my free time staying active, watching sports, reading and staying up to date on current events.
