Have a Ball and Help Japanese High School Team !! 
Many high schools in Miyagi prefecture lost sports equipments and were left with little resources to carry out their athletic activities. Nebraska Japan Disaster Relief Team is raising money to help highs school teams in Miyagi Prefecture to cover the cost to travel to regional baseball tournaments.

Garage Sale for the East Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Disaster Relief Effort
by the Omaha Japanese School

Drop off of your donations for the garage sale by 12:30

  • Clothes, Dishes, DVDs, books, and toys…
  • The Omaha Japanese School will donate the money raised to Minamisanrikucho, Miyagi, the most affected area in this disaster.

Messages and School supplies campaign
This campaign is in collaboration with UNO students and UNMC relief project team, Standing with Japan.

  1. Japanese flag message
    We will provide Japanese flags and send these to schools in the affected area. Write your message to students in Japan on the flag!!
  2. School supplies
    Please donate brand new Crayola colored pencils (12 colors). Your donations will be sent to elementary schools in the area.

Hearts for Japan
Date: 5/14/11
Location: The Diamond, 712 S. 16th St., Omaha

12pm to 7pm: Art Gallery and Musical Performances
7pm to 9pm: Fashion Show
9pm to End: Dance Party

This event is a joint product of the efforts of UNO Friends of Japan and Nerdtron Studies.  The proceeds from the event will be donated to a local Japanese nonprofit Ashinaga, a local Japanese nonprofit that assists orphaned children.
