Professional Summary

I moved to Nebraska in 2004 when my fiancé accepted a job at the Omaha World Herald. My first job after moving was here at UNMC in the Dept. of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. I had worked in an academic environment before leaving Virginia, so I felt at home at UNMC. I left for just over a year, but came back to work part-time in the Dept. of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience and eventually found full-time work in the College of Public Health, (HPSBH). My fiancé and I found a new hobby since moving to Nebraska: motorcycling. You just can’t catch rockfish, marlin, or flounder around here, so it just seemed to be the next best thing to sport fishing. Within a year, our family expanded by 2 when we adopted 2 dogs, Raleigh and Ginger, from the Nebraska Humane Society. Except for the winters, Nebraska has been a great!
