David Grandison, M.D., Ph.D. Center for Reducing Health Disparities Biography Dr. David Grandison is the Director of the UNMC’s Center for Reducing Health Disparities in the College of Public Health. He has a Ph.D from Wayne State University and a M.D. from Michigan State University. He completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In his role as Director of the Center for Reducing Health Disparities, Dr. Grandison provides leadership to advance the university's plans for health disparities research, community engagement, and education. The mission of the Center is to improve public health and the quality of health and wellness of racial/ethnic minorities, underserved, and rural populations by reducing and ultimately eliminating health disparities. Previously, Dr. Grandison served as the Director of the Clinical Research Center, Asthma Disparities Center, and Comprehensive Center for Health Disparities Research in HIV at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Grandison is a member of the American Academy Pharmaceutical Physicians, National Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Society of General Internal Medicine. | ||||||||||
