Research and analytical services
1. Data collection, analysis, and reports
Members of the Department will work with public entities, especially
the state of Nebraska, to collect data through techniques such as survey research, focus groups, and interviews,
to assess needs for public programs and the effectiveness of existing programs. Members of the Division will also
work with other organizations, especially public entities (state and local) to analyze existing data and prepare
reports for policy makers and others.
2. Economic analyses
Members of the Department will conduct studies using techniques of
economic analysis to assess the impacts of programs and the provision of care on health care practices, patients,
communities, and the state.
3. Evaluation studies
The Department will contract with other entities to evaluate
community-based programs that affect the residents of Nebraska and rural residents elsewhere.
