Research Interests

My research interests include using marketing principles (Social Marketing) to influence health behavior at the individual and population levels as well as influencing public health policy. My research includes a focus on engaging members of an impacted population throughout the process of conducting formative research and program planning. Other areas of research interests include health communication, health literacy and risk communication. My research covers a broad area from breastfeeding among low-income women to farm injury prevention efforts with an emphasis on the processes used to initiate and sustain health behavior change.
