Advisory Council
The Advisory Council members will enhance close
ties between the college and Nebraska communities through diverse,
critical perspectives on our education, research and service endeavors.
Council members will be asked to provide advice on:
- College vision, mission and strategic goals.
- Community needs for public health expertise and programs.
- Responsiveness of the college to current and future public
health workforce needs.
- Initial and future graduate education program priorities.
- Consultation and outreach program priorities.
- Research emphases and relevance to Nebraska and the region.
- Specific continuing and professional educational needs of public health practitioners in Nebraska and the region.
- Ongoing critique of college programs and plans.
The Advisory Council membership encompass broad expertise and perspectives. It meets quarterly at UNMC (with
provisions for conference call connections if necessary). Individual members are called on occasionally for
advice on specific issues in the member’s area of expertise.
