UNMC’s Center for Reducing Health Disparities has hosted a live weekly Spanish-language radio show on Radio Lobo (KBBX 97.7 FM) since 2004. The 1-hour show educates listeners on a variety of health issues including tobacco, research, HIV/AIDS, and mental/behavioral health as well as education issues such as financial aid, applying for college, parent resources, and more.

During the last three years, the live call-in show aired on Saturday mornings. During 2008, the show will be aired on Wednesday evenings and rebroadcast on Sunday mornings. Specific radio programs related to tobacco will continue to be aired on Saturday mornings and rebroadcast on Wednesdays.
