Research Interest:

My research is focused on reducing bone loss and inflammation associated with periodontal disease (periodontitis), a disease that affects approximately 35% of adults in the United States and is a primary cause of tooth loss. I also am studying the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic diseases such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
