My area of interest is centered upon the interaction between oral health and systemic health. There is a growing realization that oral health has an impact on systemic health by means of inflammatory cytokines and oral bacteria. Making these connections and managing oral disease can improve overall health outcomes and possibly mitigate systemic disease processes.
