Nebraska Radiological Society Silver Medal Award
Six UNMC radiologists have recieved the Silver Medal Award from the Nebraska Radiological Society (NRS):
- 2010 - Dr. Jud Gurney
- 2009 - Dr. Joseph Anderson
- 2006 - Dr. Thomas Imray
- 2001 - Dr. Roger Harned
- 1999 - Dr. Charles Dobry
- 1982 - Dr. Howard Hunt
The Silver Medal Award is the highest recognition given by the NRS. It was first given in 1982 and has only been awarded a total of nine times in the past 28 years.
The Silver Medal reflects the exceptional quality, service and excellence, and emphasizes both professional and personal attributes. Criteria for receiving the award include:
- Praticing radiology in Nebraska for 15 or more years
- Having an outstanding record of accomplishments in radiology; and
- Having an esteemed reputation as a radiologist in Nebraska and/or nationally.
