The University of Nebraska Medical Residency Program accepts one medical physicist each year to enter our 2-year program. We normally receive over 50 applications each year for this one position. As of August 2012, the Medical Physics Residency Program has had 10 medical physicists enrolled into our program. Based on our program structure, we have two residents in training. One will be the second year resident and the other will be the first year resident. Currently, we have two medical physicists who are in the training program. Our past history of residents include, one resident who transferred into another program, and seven residents who completed the training on time. All residents who finished our training performed well in their ABR certification exam. Six of them are ABR certified and the last one who graduated our program in June, 2012 passed Part II of the ABR exam this year.
