Program Goals and Requirements:

The goals of the UNMC Medical Physics Residency are to prepare the resident to achieve competency in all areas of clinical Radiation Oncology Physics and to be qualified to take the certification examination of the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics once prerequisites of the Board are fulfilled.

To complete the Residency Program, the resident must successfully complete all eight clinical rotations, successfully complete required didactic courses, prepare seven quarterly written reports, complete 24 monthly oral examinations, participate/attend various conferences, lectures and meetings that are considered relevant to the resident’s training, and teach a minimum of two clinical in-service sessions per year.
