NASA Mini-Grant Program The Research Mini-Grant program provides small aerospace-related research grants to Nebraska researchers interested in further developing ties with NASA scientists and conducting research important to NASA. There are two goals of the mini-grant program: 1) To elevate the aerospace-related research being conducted in Nebraska for future infrastructure building and workforce development opportunities; and 2) To result in future proposals to NASA and/or other federal, state, or private organizations for funding. Find Funding Opportunities

The Vice Chancellor for Research and the Dean of the College of Medicine have teamed together to bring SciVal Funding, a searchable database of funding opportunities from over 4,000 public and private funding sources, to UNMC researchers. SciVal Funding targets funding opportunities based on your own publication history and will deliver them directly to your in-box. This unique tool also allows campus researchers to search current opportunities by keyword, set up alerts for new programs and view recommended opportunities based on their individual research profile.

SciVal Funding can be accessed from all campus workstations using the links provided in the right side-bar.  Off campus researchers can access SciVal Funding using their LDAP accounts to log into the McGoogan Library secure server.  Researchers may also create a personal account which will allow them to access the system from anywhere, by simply using the “Create an Account” link from the “My Profile” page.

“Funding:  Finding the Perfect Fit” an orientation video presentation may be viewed from the Research User Group (RUG) website.  Read the SciVal Funding White paper.  Questions regarding the tool may be directed to Linda Wilkie, Institutional Research Analyst/Coordinator, Office of Research.
