UNMC Alumni News

Recently I was able to see several SMDEP alumni when I traveled to Tucson and Phoenix, AZ for a conference and several recruitment events at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. Thank you to Ashwin Gulati, Grishma Sheth (2009), and Jazmin Villavicencio (2008) for your help at U of AZ and thanks to Lekiesha Porter (2009) for helping me out at ASU. It was great to hear you speak about your experiences in SMDEP, and I think the prospective applicants benefited from meeting you and hearing your perspectives!

Congratulations to . . .

Jeremy Peterson (SMDEP 2006 and UNMC M2) who was recently elected Vice President of the UNMC Student Senate for 2010. As an M1, Jeremy was class President and served as Secretary on the Student Senate in 2009. He is also a certified radiologic technologist and joined fellow SMDEP 2006 alumns (Jonathan Fullner, Horacio Alvarez Ramirez, and Andrew Moellering) on the 2009 SMDEP staff (RAs/TAs).

Sepehr Rejai who recently graduated from UC Davis in Neurobiology Physiology and Behavior, and is now at the University of Michigan in his first year of medical school.
