Annual UNMC HealthCare Career Days 2013

Since UNMC is no longer able to provide campus group tours, but is committed to providing a closer look at the institution for those who may be considering a healthcare or research career.

Each fall and spring the UNMC Recruitment and Student Engagement office will host Health Care Career Days that will provide interested high school student groups (Family and Consumer Sciences/Chemistry/AP biology/chemistry classes, career counselors, etc.) the opportunity to learn about the health education/research programs offered at UNMC. On these days, students will have the opportunity to visit the academic “homes” of programs of interest to learn more about preparing for specific programs and careers; or attend presentations about: the path to a health career; paying for a health care education; and/or UNMC health career pipeline programs. Students will select three areas of interest to learn more about on their visit.

Our first Health Care Career Day on May 7, 2013 from 9am to 12pm. The fall Health Care Career Day will be held on October 1, 2013 from 9am to 12pm. Our programs are eager to share program information with interested high school students.

If your student group would like to attend the first UNMC Health Care Career Day, preregistration is required. Registration forms for both Health Care Career Days are available at the following site.
