UNMC Title IV School Code: 006895
Financing your health profession education may be one of your top concerns. Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, you may have many options: scholarships, grants, work-study and loans.
Our goal? Helping students and their families find the best way to finance a UNMC education. In fact, about 90 percent of our students receive some type of financial aid. This Web site will explain what's available and how different types of financial aid work. If you have questions regarding financial aid, please contact us, we will be happy to help you.
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a federal law which provides that an institution will maintain confidentiality of student education records. The University of Nebraska Medical Center accords all rights under the law to students who have reached the age of majority (Nebraska, age 19). No one outside the University shall have access to nor will the University disclose any information from a student's education record without the written consent of the student. The Office of Financial Aid will not disclose financial aid information to anyone outside the University without your written consent. PLEASE share this information with your family members.
UNMC does not participate in the option of providing guest access to PeopleSoft or other UNMC student information systems. We will gladly discuss your financial aid with your FERPA designated representative. However, guests will not be permitted access to PeopleSoft to complete tasks on your behalf.
Throughout the aid process, you will be referred to this web site to complete several processes. Many of these processes will require the on-line completion of UNMC forms. To access these forms you will be required to establish an account, with a password and e-mail address. Use your unmc.edu e-mail account when establishing this account. Please make sure you record this password and keep it in a safe place. You will need to use it several times throughout the year. If you lose your login information, links are provided for you to retrieve your information. Please do not complete on-line documents until you are instructed, by our office, to do so. We will not down-load or retain documents that have not been required or requested.
If you have questions regarding the Financial Aid process, please refer to the UNMC Financial Aid Contact List.
