Dr. Frederick Durden, Jr. received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia followed by his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine.  He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery at Emory University.  Next in his training was the University of Nebraska Medical School where he completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Durden then went on to receive fellowship training at Ohio State University in Microsurgical Reconstruction. 

Dr. Durden’s extensive training in microsurgical reconstruction attracts patients from around the country.  His personal goal is to help patients regain normal function and appearance after the effects of trauma or oncology treatments.  It is important to Dr. Durden to make sure each patient is completely educated on microsurgical reconstruction and understands all steps of the reconstruction process.  His teaching includes written instructions and photographs of actual patients.  If you decide on surgery, you can be assured that his entire staff will provide you with the highest quality of medical care.
