Department of Surgery, Division of Urologic Surgery faculty presented on MS, incontinence, female sexual dysfunction and interstim therapy at the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistant’s Spring Conference, the First United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the UNMC Medical Student Surgery Interest Group and The Nebraska Medical Center PACU nurses
  3. Department of Surgery, Division of Urologic Surgery house officers have been nominated to participate on the ACGME’s Urology Residency Review Committee (RRC), as well as participated in a traveling health fellowship program, a robotic urologic surgery mini-fellowship program, a national conference resident quiz bowl, and will participate in the RES-Q committee

  1. Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant continues to conduct an international educational exchange with Saudi Arabia, to help educate physicians and staff on organ transplantation
  2. Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant hosts observerships with numerous physicians and staff from around the world, Brazil and South Africa within the last year
  3. Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology faculty member elected as the President of India Association of Nebraska, serves on the Global Cultural Competence Committee at UNMC, and oversees the exchange program with India which was started in 2009 and has hosted more than 100 candidates on campus at UNMC
  4. Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology faculty member serves as a liaison between the Society of Surgical Oncology, USA and Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, India. This activity has led to increased collaborative activities between the two large organizations across the world.
  5. Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery faculty member is the head of the International Committee of the American Pediatric Surgical Association
