Meet the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, Kenneth A. Follett, M.D.
Kenneth A. Follett, M.D., Ph.D., received his medical and graduate degrees at UNMC and took his residency training in neurological surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He was recruited to return to UNMC as Chief of Neurosurgery in 2005, where he serves also as Program Director for the neurosurgery residency training program. As Vice Chair, his job is to promote and execute the clinical vision and mission of the Department Chair. These goals include that the department will:
- Provide the highest quality surgical care in both primary and specialty surgical services to Nebraska and the Midwest.
- Improve accessibility to healthcare and address unmet healthcare needs of Omaha and surrounding communities.
- Provide care in an educational setting that allows us to train the next generation of physicians, surgeons, physician-scientists, and future leaders of medicine.
- Apply new knowledge and innovations to the delivery of surgical care to improve patient care and outcomes.
