Pediatric Surgery Fellowship

The University of Nebraska Medical Center and School of Medicine two year pediatric surgery fellowship in Omaha is an integrated experience between two world class institutions (UNMC and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center). Approximately 95% of the fellow’s operative experience will take place at Children’s. This situation offers the best of both worlds to our fellow. The University setting offers a world class NICU and general surgery residency. Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is a free standing, state of the art, modern Children’s Hospital that will serve as the primary clinical location for training.

Off service rotations during the first year will include PICU and NICU.

The second year will be more flexible for off service rotations. Experiences in Cardiothoracic, Plastics, ENT, and Pediatric Urology are available.

While on service, our pediatric surgery faculty have extensive experiences in minimally invasive abdominal and chest surgery, as well as aero-digestive endoscopies.

For all applicants and especially those with families: Omaha is consistently ranked as one of the least stressful, most livable cities in the US.

Applicants may apply via Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
