Hours and Location:
The Center operates from 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, and is located on the first level of the Administration Center at 40th and Dewey. Our entrance is on the west side of the building.
Child Development Curriculum:
The Center utilizes the High/Scope Curriculum. High/Scope is an "active learning" educational approach. Active learning means students have direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events and ideas. Children's interests and choices are at the heart of the High/Scope program. They construct their own knowledge through interactions with the world and the people around them. Children take the first step in the learning process by making choices and following through on their decisions. Teachers, caregivers and parents offer physical, emotional and intellectual support. In active learning settings, adults expand children's thinking with diverse materials and nurturing interactions.
Meals and Snacks:
We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. All meals are catered to us by the Hospital and meet USDA nutritional requirements. A menu is located on the website.
Parents are welcome to visit as often as their schedule allows. We encourage you to relax and enjoy this time with your children.
