Our volunteer faculty complement our full-time faculty by exposing our residents and students
to a broader range of case types and treatment ideologies.
The Urologic Surgery academic program includes three full-time faculty members, a pediatric urologist, members of the private practice group - Midwest Urology, and a dozen volunteer faculty members, who comprise the urologic staffs of Nebraska Methodist Hospital and Creighton University Medical Center. The integration of the volunteer faculty lends to our program a broadened educational perspective, and increased and more varied surgical experiences and clinical training. The incorporation of these teaching experiences assures that proper educational materials are provided and utilized, that each resident has ample opportunity to experience the full range of clinical and surgical options available in Urologic Surgery cases, and that medical students, too, are exposed to the wide variety of cases and urologic clinical training.
