Student spotlight - Nirakar Rajbhandari (April 06, 2012)
‘Dean’s List” Award for outstanding performance in undergraduate studies. From the beginning of July of 2012, Nirakar is supported through the UNMC Graduate Studies Office on a Research Assistantship.
Nirakar joined our group in January of 2011. He plans to develop a novel pancreatic cancer model that allows the study of genes during cancer initiation and progression. Starting 2012, Nirakar is supported through the UNMC Graduate Studies Office on a Research Assistantship. In 2014, Nirakar won the departmental award for best oral presentation at the Midwest Student Biomedical Research Forum.
