Dr. Nystrom is the Chief of the Section of Hand Surgery. Dr. Nystrom graduated from the University of Umea School of Medicine in Umea, Sweden. He completed his internship and residency also in Umea Sweden. Dr. Nystrom also received a PhD from the University of Umea in 1990. Dr. Nystrom completed his hand surgery training with Dr. Kleinert at the University of Louisville. Dr. Nystrom has a dual appointment to the department of Plastic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery.
