Welcome to the University of Nebraska Medical Center/The Nebraska Medical Center web site for whiplash injury.


This site will provide you with information about your condition and our surgical treatment and program including trigger point surgery for patients suffering from soft tissue injuries resulting in the chronic, painful and often times, debilitating effects of whiplash related injury. Dr. Ake Nystrom, Director of the Whiplash Related Injury Initiative routinely and successfully treats patients from the United States and abroad.


Whiplash Injury victims experience various chronic, life altering symptoms including pain, dizziness, headaches, neck and back pain, numbness, tingling, muscle weakness, fatigue and depression.
