Under the leadership of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, H. Dele Davies, MD, and with support from the College of Medicine Alumni Engagement Council and Virginia B. Grissom, our experienced team supports and fosters innovative teaching and educational scholarship.
The Academy has three main goals:
- Improve educational quality through innovation, curriculum design, and implementation of evidence-based teaching methods
- Promote the dissemination of UNMC faculty members’ educational innovation through scholarship
- Provide a mechanism for mentorship for new and developing faculty members with an interest in education
