I-AM-HOME supports the recruitment and retention of underrepresented health care professionals throughout Omaha by working to promote greater diversity and inclusion across health professions.
The Academy Interest Groups are designed to bring together educators with similar interests, allowing members to share their talents with one another, develop expertise, and foster scholarly collaboration.
Intramural Sporting Clubs
Open to all UNMC students, faculty and staff, our Intramural Sporting Clubs cover a wide range of interests, including basketball, bocce, curling, cycling, golf, volleyball, and more.
LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance
The UNMC and Nebraska Medicine LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance Group organizes social networking and educational events as well as supporting advocacy and activism efforts in the community.
The UNMC Musical Society provide members with an opportunity to take a break from their stressful lives and make some music, as well as to provide music for UNMC events. The organization includes an instrumental, as well as a vocal group. Contact Dr. Laurey Steinke for more information.
Office of Community Engagement
The Office of Community Engagement builds mutually beneficial relationships and collaborations between UNMC faculty, staff, and students and the communities we serve. Existing engagement projects include Bridge to Care, Decreasing the Donor Deficit, do juSTIce, EMPOWER, Fostering the Future.
Research Interest Groups
The UNMC Vice Chancellor for Research Office has created several Research Interest Groups to develop larger, more interdisciplinary, collaborative research interactions and teams that can answer complex research questions and lead to new research grants.
Women's Mentoring Program
The Women's Mentoring Program empowers and inspires women professionals to achieve their career and personal goals by providing educational offerings, networking opportunities, and facilitating mentoring relationships.
