[AUDIO LOGO] BAILEY: My name is Bailey. I'm from right here in Kearney. So I love that UNMC has a campus here in town that I could attend. I chose diagnostic medical sonography because I was wanting to further my education in the healthcare field. I love that with ultrasound, we're very hands-on and we get a lot of hands on time with the patient-- are able to help the radiologists diagnose. What I like about the UNMC program is, although I already obtained a bachelor's degree, I'm now earning credits toward my master's. So if I so choose, I'll be halfway toward my master's following this program. With the diagnostic medical sonography program, we get to visit a range of hospitals in the area. So we get to see more of a clinic setting versus a hospital setting, even more rural than Kearney versus Kearney, which is bigger for this area. So we get a wide range of procedures in the area, which has been very nice to see. And we start hands-on. So we get to integrate the classwork with our clinical work. What's nice about UNMC Kearney is that we're pretty close with our teachers. We have one clinical preceptor here on campus. So we get to work with Leia hands-on a lot. And then we regularly see all our clinical preceptors within the community. So it's kind of connecting that clinical to the real world as well. [AUDIO LOGO]
