The Health Science Education Complex (HSEC) in Kearney includes state-of-the-art classrooms, clinical teaching laboratories, clinical simulation facilities, a gross anatomy laboratory, and plentiful student interaction space.
The facility allows for an increased enrollment in allied health professions programs to meet the high demand for professionals, which is particularly prevalent in rural areas. With an increased focus on rural primary care, the expansion to the UNK campus also provides unique opportunities for interprofessional education in both didactic and clinical settings, and prepares future healthcare professionals to participate in team-based healthcare.
Prospective students interested in applying for UNMC allied health professions education programs must meet the same qualifications and will follow the same application process regardless of whether they hope to matriculate on the UNMC campus in Omaha or at the new facility in Kearney. For the latest information on all aspects of admission to any UNMC College of Allied Health Professions program, please visit our Education Programs on the web or call 402-559-6673 or email.
