The UNMC Cytotechnology program will be transitioning to a master's degree in fall 2022. We will update information as it becomes available. Contact program officials for more information.

Length of Program

Post-Bacc: Thirty-two (32) semester credit hours of graduate level coursework over three (3) semesters in twelve (12) months.

Master's: Forty-four (44) semester credit hours of graduate level coursework over four (4) semesters in sixteen (16) months. Begins fall 2022.

Degree Requirements

Successful completion of the program requires an average of 70% or above on all didactic and clinical courses unless specified otherwise in the syllabus (i.e., proficiency exams, daily screening averages).
